
Larry Griffies
Born and raised right here in Coweta County, Larry Griffies has been a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for 20 years. He is deeply proud to have served our congregation as a Deacon for many of those years. Larry and his beloved wife, Judy, reside in Grantville and are blessed with a large, growing family that includes 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Known for his servant’s heart, Larry can almost always be found lending a helping hand around the church whenever something needs to be done.
Kevin Cost
has been a part of the Coweta community for 48 years. Alongside his wife, Olivia, Kevin actively serves in several of our church ministries, and he was ordained as a Deacon in 2021. Blessed with two daughters and a son, Kevin loves nothing more than sharing a good joke and laughing with others. His favorite scripture is John 11:35—“Jesus wept”—a short but powerful verse that continually moves his heart.
Horace Phillips
Horace Phillips accepted Christ and became a Christian at a young age, establishing a lifelong foundation of faith. Shortly after marrying his wife, Joan, in 1990, the couple joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, which has been their spiritual home ever since. Horace was ordained as a Deacon in 2005 and currently serves our congregation with distinction as the Lead Deacon. Deeply committed to discipleship, he has also been teaching Sunday School for over 25 years.
Horace is retired from the Newnan Post Office. He and Joan are blessed with two children and three grandchildren, and he continues to be a pillar of leadership and devotion within the Bethlehem family.
Terrell Blakenship

Terrell Blankenship has lived in this community his entire life and has been a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church since 1991, the same year he accepted Christ as his Savior. Deeply committed to sharing God’s Word, Terrell has faithfully served as a Gideon for twenty-nine years. He was excited to further his ministry within the church when he began serving as a Deacon at Bethlehem in early 2023.
Barry Walker

Barry Walker has been a longtime, dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Blessed with a true servant’s heart, he is a vital part of keeping our church running smoothly, often found volunteering his time to handle repairs and ensure our facilities are always in perfect order.
Outside of our local church walls, Barry and his wife, Beverly, share a deep passion for unique outreach ministries. They are highly active members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), traveling across the country on two wheels to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with people from all walks of life. Whether he is fixing a door at the church or riding cross-country for the Gospel, Barry’s devotion to serving others shines through everything he does.
Mike Findley- Retired Deacon
Mike moved to Coweta County in August of 1970. Due to the neighborly actions of the men of Bethlehem Baptist Church, he and his wife began to attend the church right away and became members soon after that. He was ordained as a Deacon in February of 1975. twenty-nine years and was excited to begin serving as a Deacon at Bethlehem in early 2023.
